It suggests Yushan (Jade Mountain), Taiwan’s highest peak. Reminiscent of a compass, it recalls Taiwan’s long history as a destination for seafarers. It represents Taiwan’s engagement with the larger world and the global reach of Taiwan’s creative minds. White represents sunlight and our society’s ideal of human rights and human worth.
